Continuing our Meet The Team series of posts, introducing our Director and Co-Owner, Peter Tyler.
Pete started off his marketing agency life in 2000 as a graduate trainee executive at International Marketing Promotions (IMP) in London, the below-the-line promotional marketing arm of DMB&B – an international advertising agency in London now part of Publicis Groupe.
After his time in London, Pete moved back to the Midlands and worked in a smaller agency where he got hands-on experience in media buying, print advertising for the national press, and direct mail campaigns.
In 2007, Pete moved to the client-side, taking the role of Marketing Manager at Norla Group. Here he unlocked the power of Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising, and through successful Google Adwords (now simply Google Ads) lead generation campaigns helped grow the business.
Ever since business studies A levels, Pete had dreamed of working for himself by running his own successful business. So when the opportunity to start out on his own presented itself, he didn’t hesitate.
Inspired Design & Marketing was born first, which later became Brand Box Marketing as the PPC advertising side of the business evolved and became his primary focus. Pete continued to grow the business for years, to the point where he needed to take on staff to help deliver for an ever-growing client base.
Around 2014, serendipity took over as Pete was introduced to Ian Hancock, Miromedia’s Founder and Director. At the time Miromedia was based in Kenilworth and was primarily a web design and SEO marketing agency. The two soon realised Miromedia’s expertise would perfectly complement Brand Box Marketing’s PPC and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) skills, and began working on projects together.
Time flies when you’re having fun. In 2018 after working on many successful projects together, Pete and Ian joined forces, merging Brand Box Marketing into Miromedia.
“We’ve not looked back since! Today, Miromedia is a thriving digital marketing agency that I am proud to co-own with Ian. We have an amazing team who are talented and fun to work with.”
