About The Project
Jordans Fireworks sell fireworks both online and from their store in Leamington Spa. As their online marketing agency, we focus our efforts on helping them increase sales from their website during the run up to Bonfire Night, their busiest time of the year.
Results
The initial success continued throughout their busy period, with Jordans Fireworks seeing a 109% increase in sales from mobile visits. They also saw a 138% leap in mobile transactions with mobile making up 55% of total revenue, the first time it had ever overtaken desktop sales.

Background
Every year we work with Jordans Fireworks to develop their website strategy. Our focus is always on their busiest period of the year from 1st October to 30th November. Our most recent project was to capitalise on the increase in mobile visitors which had gone up 107% in two years from 7,777 to 16,123 and, in 2015, accounted for over half of all traffic.

Research and Implementation
We had previously put in a temporary fix to make sure the desktop version of their website worked on mobile. However, that fix only papered over the cracks. It didn’t fully optimise the site for mobile users at every step of the journey.
Our design and development team completely revamped Jordans Fireworks website focusing on mobile first. They overhauled the design of the site, completely rethought the way key product info is displayed and developed the checkout process to be quick and easy for people.
A Successful Start
We launched the new site in time for Jordans Fireworks’ busy period, within just a week we’d seen sales from mobile visitors go up 307% year-on-year.
The Future
Whilst we continue to optimise the Jordans Fireworks website, we also have our eye on next year’s busy period. Our focus is to continue improving sales from mobile visitors. We’re also working with Jordans Fireworks to figure out how we can use the power of their website to increase footfall to their shop.
