“Crimson’s new website marks a significant milestone in our growth and needed to clearly present the vision we have for our future. Miromedia were entrusted with this important project and have delivered a result that we’re thrilled with.”Mark Britton, Head of Marketing, Crimson
Background
Crimson gave us a big challenge for their new website. On one side of the business, Crimson is an IT solutions consultancy that helps businesses plan and deliver their IT projects cost effectively. On the other side, Crimson is a IT recruitment agency who help businesses source hard-to-find, top quality IT talent. Our challenge was to design and build a site that clearly defined those lines of business but kept the brand unified.
Planning
In order to do this, we worked alongside Crimson to completely restructure the site so that it was split into two independent areas with specific navigations. The front page was designed to filter visitors to either area of the site. Case studies and blog pages needed to accommodate both sides of the business.
Design
In order to collaborate with Crimson, we agreed to use the leading website prototyping tool, InVision. Using InVision meant we could collaborate with Crimson in an agile manner. It meant we weren’t working in long tranches and having design meetings to tear apart hours of work. Instead, we could design part of the site, get feedback, make amendments and move on.
Build
Having used InVision, it meant we could stick to our design deadline and move onto the build of the site smoothly. The designs that were built on the development site had been seen and approved by Crimson already, so there were no surprises.
Results
The result of our collaboration with Crimson meant we designed a site that filters visitors to the most relevant side of the business to them. They were presented with a site dedicated to that part of the business. All through the site, we designed and engineered innovative ways of filtering and presenting content so that it’s clean, simple and relevant to the visitor looking at it.
