The last few months at Miro…

Simon JonesStuff

The last few months seem to have flew by at breakneck speed, 5 minutes ago it was Christmas and now we’re heading into mid-March…how did that happen?

Well, I suppose time flies when you’re having fun working hard. So what’s been happening at Miro? Well loads as it goes!

We’ve completed many fantastic functional and incredible looking web builds, achieved plenty of position ones in Google for our clients, helped one client expand his business into mainland Europe and we’ve all had to retake our annual exams from Google, meaning that over 50% of the office are now Google AdWords and Analytics qualified.

And if that wasn’t enough, two Miro babies have been born (Quentin, weighing in at 8lb 1oz and Amalia, tipping the scales at 5lb 9oz) and Ian was named joint ‘Businessman of the Year’ at the Pride of Stratford Awards with Blake Beckford for their work on the Bladder & Bowel Community!

You may be wondering what involvement Miromedia have with the Bladder & Bowel Community?

In February 2015, Miromedia built a website for the Bladder and Bowel Community (then known as the Bladder & Bowel Foundation). After this was built, we went on to provide on-going digital marketing support to the Bladder & Bowel Foundation. However, in late 2016 upon discovering the charity was in financial trouble and was looking likely to cease to exist, Miromedia stepped in and rescued the Foundation in conjunction with Adrian Fawcett and Blake Beckford.

Now fast-forward to 2017 and Miro are now operating the renamed Bladder & Bowel Community, the website of which is visited by around 180,000 sufferers of bladder & bowel conditions each month. As part of this, we have also recently relaunched the “Just Can’t Wait Card” – a lifeline for sufferers of many conditions who just can’t wait to get to a toilet.

This was recognised at the Pride of Stratford Awards in February, which was held at Stratford-upon-Avon’s Crowne Plaza. At the awards, Ian and Blake fought off tough competition to be named joint ‘Businessman of the Year’ for 2017.
