Google algorithm update

The clever people at Google are in the midst of rolling out an update to their all-conquering search algorithm that will, they say, aim to reward quality sites with quality content. According to Google a quality site is one “with original content and information such as research, in-depth reports, thoughtful analysis and so on.”

Which makes sense really. Long gone are the times when you could spam content, or plagiarise it from other sites; any site worth its salt must be original and must provide its customers with information they want to read and content that is relevant to their search terms.

As always content is king and with this update content will, very soon, be God too.
